We still have to get the Idaho legislature to have its own, hermetically sealed legal offices (one for the House, one for the Senate), so that you can ask for an opinion as a legislator about the effective posed legislation and the legality of it, and have it be completely protected by the attorney-client privilege until you are ready to discuss it with your fellow legislators.
The current practice of going to the AG’s office since 1997 has not served Idaho well. There is no benefit to continually growing the executive branch.
