Standing Firm When Powerful People Want You Silent.

With Marjorie Taylor Greene’s resignation making headlines, and after listening to her video and reading her letter, I fully understand her heart, her position, and her frustration. I have dealt with similar battles here in Idaho, exposing corruption, voting against the Governor’s demands, and speaking out against our state’s growing dependence on a $38 trillion-in-debt federal government tied to global corporate and banking interests. I respect Marjorie Taylor Greene’s decision. And I pray she finds new ways to stay in the fight for our Constitutional Republic, our freedoms, our God-given liberties, and to help bring courage and hope to the next generation. Seasons change. Assignments shift. But the mission remains.
At the WallBuilders Conference last week, Seth Gruber reminded us of something essential: when elected officials do what is right, we should commend them. But when they violate their oath or make harmful decisions, we must speak up, no matter who they are. That is our duty. That is leadership.
I appreciate many of President Trump’s strong decisions, but he has also made serious mistakes: fast-tracking the COVID vaccine, supporting abortion exceptions, refusing to release the Epstein files, supporting Governor Little who shut down Idaho with zero COVID cases to receive federal dollars, and backing Congressman Simpson who wants to breach our dams. These choices matter, and they have consequences.
What alarms me now is seeing President Trump attack Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie simply because they are representing their constituents and telling the truth. It mirrors what I have faced in Idaho. Governor Little spent a significant amount of money trying to remove me from office. Apparently, representing the people and keeping my word is a threat to the wrong agenda.
And now word is that Governor Little and Lt. Governor Bedke are once again working to remove me. Reliable sources tell me the Governor believes. I am “in the way” of his agenda. Good. If standing in the way of harmful agendas is a problem for him, that says more about the agenda than about me.
I’m also told Lt. Governor Bedke approached County Commissioner Reinke to run against me because he claims I and the Gang of 8, are “bad for Idaho politics” and harming the Republican Party. Really? How exactly?
Is it because I exposed $87 million in waste and fraud?
Is it because I fought against a 22% legislative pay increase?
Is it because I honored our pledge and voted against bloated enhancement budgets that would have saved Idaho $1.2 billion and prevented the deficit we are now heading toward in 2026?
Or is it because I refuse to support LAUNCH, a redistribution-of-wealth scheme dressed up as workforce development? We don’t have a workforce problem in Idaho; we have a motivation problem, and no government program can fix what culture, parenting, and personal responsibility must address.
If truth, transparency, fiscal sanity, and loyalty to the people are “harmful,” then the problem is not me, it is the culture that demands silence and obedience.
And let’s be clear: I am at the top of Idaho Republican scorecards. If the highest-scoring Republican is the one “harming the party,” then perhaps the definition of “Republican” has shifted in ways voters never agreed to.
Through all of this, one thing remains true: we must stay steadfast. It is okay if God redirects your path or changes your position. What matters is obedience, courage, and faithfulness. As we approach 250 years of the American Miracle, a nation given to us by God through our Founding Fathers, we must never take it for granted. We must fight for it with clarity, conviction, and unwavering resolve.
Leadership is not blind loyalty. Leadership is courage. Leadership is accountability. Leadership is standing your ground when powerful people want you gone.
This is the moment for Idahoans to stand shoulder-to-shoulder. If you want leaders who refuse to bow to pressure, who won’t trade their principles for political favors, and who won’t abandon their oath when the heat rises, then I need you in this fight. Share the truth. Speak boldly. Encourage others to stand. Our state and our children deserve leaders who will not be bought, bullied, or silenced. Idaho belongs to the people. Let’s act like it.
At the same time, we must move forward anchored in faith and courage. I’m asking you to pray, to stay engaged, and to stand firm in what is right. Do not retreat. Do not grow weary. When righteous leadership comes under attack, the people must be louder, stronger, and more united than ever. We can preserve the American Miracle, but only if we choose to fight for it.
And now is the time for practical action. If you want honest government, fiscal restraint, and leaders who answer to YOU, not to lobbyists, not to party bosses, and not to federal strings, then join me. Talk to your neighbors. Show up. Vote. Volunteer. Support candidates who refuse to sell Idaho’s future to the highest bidder. The only thing standing between Idaho and political overreach is an informed, courageous, and engaged people.

Many of us have been working to get citizens, legislators, bureaucrats, and other elected officials to listen to messages like yours, but it seems like spitting into the wind (and getting our faces wet). It's a tough slog and often a demoralizing one, so we empathize greatly with the challenges you face every day. Few are as tough and resilient as you are.
Please be careful, precious Sen. Z. Powerful forces are working hard against MTG, Idaho Gang of Eight (including you), and others who oppose establishment norms -- WE NEED THESE STRONG VOICES to save our state and our country.
Losing MTG from Congress is huge, and the continuing war against Rep. Massie and Sen. Rand Paul is shameful. We hope they remain strong and are re-elected by hordes of voters who aren't swayed by propaganda and smears.
Since coming to Idaho, we've seen so many strong champions for Idaho's people defeated (likely thanks to lobbyists and more than a few elected officials and PACs).
