Citizen Soldiers
Backyard Bash was full of Citizen Soldiers
The Z Hobby Farm is almost back to normal after the amazing Back Yard Bash!
First and foremost, I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart for joining us, volunteering your time, helping with food, parking, yard prep, and security. A special thank you as well to the groups who brought tables and shared ways for people to get more involved.
The whole evening brought back memories of how we used to do things before social media, nothing compares to true, face-to-face fellowship.
We estimate that 400–450 people joined us. Over 180 cars were parked in our pasture, not including RVs and the cars that filled our driveway. We had tables overflowing with food, with plenty left over.
To those I didn’t get a chance to meet: looking back at the photos, I saw many familiar and new faces I wish I could have visited with. But when I looked out over that sea of lawn chairs, families, and friends gathered together, I was deeply blessed. I saw people who felt comfortable, welcomed, and connected, making new acquaintances and rekindling old ones.
It reminded me once again why I must keep serving and fighting for our great state. Truly, my heart is full.
What’s Next?
I’m heading into the next legislative session ready to work hard for you and at the same time, I’ll be campaigning for another term. On the very day of our Back Yard Bash, my challenger signed up. I knew it was coming. I knew who it would be. The chatter around the Capitol made it clear.
So let’s call this what it is: a job interview. I’m asking you to re-hire me to represent YOU.
Here’s the truth: your votes are worth more than all the corporate money in the world. They know it and that’s why they’ll spend big against us.
Last election, I raised over $60,000 mostly grassroots donations and together we won. I was the third most-targeted candidate in the entire state when it came to opposition money. And still, we proved them wrong.
I will fight for you. But I need you to fight alongside me. Together, we’ll show once again that the people not the money decide the future of Idaho.
I urge you, do your due diligence. Investigate every candidate. It is not just your right, it is your duty. Together, we must safeguard our State Sovereignty and defend our Constitutional Republic.
How You Can Help
Contributions are needed and every single dollar matters. Your support doesn’t just help cover the costs of printing brochures, paying for venues, running commercials, and putting up signs, it also sends a powerful message that the people are standing with me.
You can donate online at Glenneda.com, by mail at P.O. Box 3123, Twin Falls, Idaho 83303, or even meet me over coffee to give in person.
But this campaign isn’t just about dollars, it’s about people. I also need your time and energy. Whether it’s walking your neighborhood to share literature, making phone calls, organizing meet-and-greets, or even helping address envelopes, your involvement makes all the difference.
In closing, I want to share the message I gave at the Backyard Bash—a message of hope.
Without hope, there is no will to fight. And my hope is this: that together, we will leave behind a legacy of hope for the next generation.
Thank you, to every single one of you for coming. I hoped this evening blessed you as much as it did me.
When I look back over my life, I never imagined God would place me here, in this moment, with this calling. I never planned on serving in the Idaho Senate, but God had a different plan. He called me out of my comfort zone, and I said yes, not because I felt qualified, but because I knew He equips those He calls.
And here’s the truth: there are moments in history when ordinary people are called to do extraordinary things and I believe we are living in one of those moments right now.
We gather today at a crossroads in history. Our freedoms are being tested, our Constitutional Republic is under strain, and our faith in Jesus is being challenged in a culture that calls evil good and good evil. And yet, in the face of all of this, we do not stand hopeless, we stand with HOPE.
And look around in this backyard, what I see is a courageous people. Here we are, gathering not in fear but in fellowship. We are breaking bread together, building friendships, forging bonds, and strengthening one another for the days ahead. This is what community looks like. This is what courage looks like. And this is how we prepare to stand strong together.
The Apostle Paul said in Romans 5:5, “Hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit.” Hope is not wishful thinking. Hope is the confident assurance that God is who He says He is, and He will do what He wills, what He has promised.
Tonight, I want to share with you a vision of HOPE spelled out in the four letters of HOPE, that will guide us as we fight for the next generation’s freedoms, defend our Constitutional Republic, and remain steadfast in our faith.
H — Holy Conviction
We must stand firm and be steadfast in the convictions laid upon our hearts. Isaiah heard the angels cry, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory.” (Isaiah 6:3). Holiness is not just about being “good.” It is about being set apart for God’s purpose. Our Founding Fathers lived with Holy Conviction when they declared that our rights come not from kings or governments, but from Almighty God. They risked everything because they believed in something bigger than themselves.
If we are going to preserve freedom for the next generation, we must live with that same Holy Conviction. Not bending to political pressure. Not bowing to cultural trends. But standing firm because truth does not change!
O — Obedience in Action
James 1:22 tells us, “Be doers of the Word, and not hearers only.” Obedience is more than listening, it is acting. When we see corruption in government, obedience calls us to speak up. When we see the next generation being led astray, obedience calls us to teach truth and disciple. When we see tyranny rising, obedience calls us to resist it.
Our Constitutional Republic only survives when its citizens take responsibility. Freedom isn’t passed down automatically, it must be defended, fought for, and cherished. And obedience to God fuels that courage to act.
P — Promise of Freedom
2 Corinthians 1:20 reminds us, “For all the promises of God find their Yes in Him.” God is faithful. He keeps His promises.America’s promise is rooted in the belief that all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That promise must not be broken on our watch.
If we grow weary and surrender freedom for comfort, the next generation will inherit chains instead of liberty. We must keep the promise alive, not only for ourselves, but for our children and grandchildren.
E — Eternal Perspective
1 Peter 1:3–4 says, “He has caused us to be born again to a living hope… to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.”Our fight is not only political, it is spiritual and eternal. We are not just preserving a Republic; we are preparing souls for eternity. Our courage today impacts lives tomorrow, and echoes into eternity.
This is why we cannot compromise. This is why we cannot stay silent. Because eternity is at stake, not just policy.
We have powerful examples of HOPE all throughout history.
Abraham had hope when God said, “Go.”
Noah had hope when God told him to build an ark.
Deborah had hope when she led men into battle.
Moses had hope when he stood before the Red Sea.
The disciples had hope to carry on after Jesus’ ascension. Our Founders carried that same hope. Against the most powerful empire on earth, they declared independence. John Adams called it “the greatest question ever decided among men.” Patrick Henry thundered, “Give me liberty, or give me death!” And George Washington warned that our survival as a nation depended on religion and morality, the foundations of hope and freedom.
And even in our own time, we’ve seen that same hope and courage rise up in leaders like Charlie Kirk.
Charlie Kirk was a man who built his life on conviction. He believed deeply in the truth of the Gospel, and in his public and private life he made it clear that his faith was not a part-time thing. He often said that if he were to be remembered for anything, he wanted it to be for “courage for his faith.”
Jesus Himself set the example for us. He carried the cross, literally and spiritually, bearing the weight of sin, shame, and suffering so that we could walk in freedom and hope. He taught us that true discipleship costs something. In Luke 9:23, Jesus said, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”
Charlie understood that call. He carried the cross of faith with courage in the public square. He didn’t shrink back in the face of criticism. He didn’t cater to comfort. He took stands that made him unpopular with many. He knew the cost. He knew the risk. But he believed that truth, courage, and faith mattered more. That’s obedience in action.
Even in his last months, he was asking himself and others, what legacy would linger. And his answer was consistent: faith, truth, courage. Not just political wins, but spiritual testimony.
And tragically, his life was cut short in an event where he was proclaiming truth. Yet his death reminds us that there is always a cost to being steadfast, to speaking truth, to refusing compromise. It reminds us why we must not give in. Because the next generation watches, and God’s Kingdom is worth the fight.
Friends, HOPE is not passive. HOPE is fuel for action. And we have before us the example of men and women through history and of Charlie Kirk in our own time, who lived it out. Their lives, their faith, their courage should stir us, inspire us, and provoke us to not be content with comfort, but to be content with character, truth, and faithfulness, just as Christ showed us when He bore the cross and called us to follow Him.
So I ask you: Will we leave behind a legacy of courage, or a legacy of compromise? Will we hand our children freedom or bondage? Will we rise with holy conviction, obedience, the promise of freedom, and an eternal perspective or will we shrink back in fear?
We were born for a time such as this. Just as Charlie had a calling and God equipped him, so too God is calling you and me. And He will equip us with strength, wisdom, grace, mercy, and love to stand firm in a world that will hate us, because it first hated Jesus.
Truth is the weapon we must pick up. And we must wield it so faithfully, so consistently, that it becomes like muscle memory our second nature. Speaking truth, living truth, defending truth, until the world knows that we will not bend and we will not bow.
Joshua 1:9 tells us: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
So let us rise together with HOPE, standing holy before God, obedient in our duty, faithful to the promise of freedom, and ever mindful of eternity. Because if we do, future generations will not only remember us for our HOPE, they’ll inherit a world where truth is not hidden, where faith is not compromised, and where courage is the standard.
Let’s have hope God will equip us for this time.
Thank you Daniel Murphy and others that contributed to this slide show.
